A new library and learning center will be built at the University of Economics and Business in Vienna. Zaha Hadid Architects won the rights to design the building. It will be the centerpiece of the new university campus and will provide a language lab, study rooms, offices, student center, bookstore, food court and meeting space.
Implications - How a building looks is just as important these days as what it is used for, and this is especially true for universities that are engaged in an ever-increasingly competitive struggle to attract the best and brightest students they can. One of the best ways to do this is with exciting architecture, so you can expect to see more and more universities erecting these kinds of forward-thinking structures in the future.
