To celebrate the 2018 Lunar New Year, McDonald's has teamed up with Chinese-American fashion designer Anna Sui to create a series of limited-edition lucky red envelopes. The collaboration not only marks the Year of the Dog, but it also helps to celebrate the brand's new $1 $2 $3 Dollar Menu.
As part of her collaboration with McDonald's, Sui created a series of red envelopes featuring artwork of a popular Asian dog breed, along with value-themed well wishes. To celebrate the 2018 Lunar New Year and launch the chain's new value menu, an event will be held at the McDonald's in San Francisco's Japantown Peace Plaza on Tuesday, January 23, 2018. At the restaurant, there will be a $1 $2 $3 Dollar Menu-inspired arcade game, which customers can play to receive some of the limited-edition red envelops, along with other prizes.
For those unable to attend the event, the chain will also be partnering with social influencers to give away more of the fashionable red envelops.
