Frantic rescue efforts are underway, as a massive New Zealand earthquake rocked the country. The 6.5 magnitude quake hit its second-biggest city of Christchurch, trapping scores of people inside collapsed buildings and causing a tragic death toll.
It is the second quake to hit the region in five months, sending it into a state of emergency. This collection of incredible innovations, inspired by the New Zealand earthquake, have all been designed to ensure public safety and aid in relief when faced with such a heartbreaking disaster.
