From Gamefied Sustainability Apps to For-Purpose Conferences
Tiana Reid — June 5, 2013 — Social Good
From gamefied sustainability living apps to crowdsourced for-purpose conferences, this SocialBusiness.org top list of mission-driven social media uses takes steps at using those finger tips for its social entrepreneurship goals, whatever that may be.
Social entrepreneurship and social media, though they may share a word, don't tend to go hand in hand -- necessarily at least. Many social enterprises, but not all, often take an archaic non-profit side i.e. more traditional forms of outreach. But, it seems, the more money or funding an organization has, the more liberty they can take. At the same time however, these mission driven social media uses try to take what they have and make something creative out of it in order to maximize resources and spread the word.
