From Stylish Recycled Swimwear to Plant-Based Sneakers
Katherine Pendrill — May 28, 2017 — Eco
Whether it is a swimsuit made from recycled materials or a pair of compostable sneakers, May 2017 eco trends clearly demonstrate that the desire to live an eco-friendly lifestyle is beginning to spill over into our wardrobes.
One of the latest innovations in eco-friendly fashion is the rise of green swimwear. For instance, Reformation just launched a swimwear collection that is made from 85% recycled materials. PINKFISH also makes swimsuits out of recycled materials and works to ensure that its products are "made, packed and shipped with reduced environmental impact."
Beyond beachwear, there are plenty of other ways for consumers to give their closets a 'green' update. This includes Reebok's new Cotton + Corn sneakers, Last Bottle Clothing's recycled plastic bottle tees and the KickFly upcycled skateboard deck sunglasses.
