From Fish Eye-Shaped Exhibits to Futuristic Metro Stations
Elena Rahman — March 5, 2022 — Art & Design
The March 2022 architecture innovation showcase the industry's ever-evolving creativity. This month, the architectural designs feature unique and unlikely shapes, which bring in a renewed sense of artistic expression to the cityscapes.
One noteworthy design is the Salmon Eye Aquaculture Center, designed by Marketex Marine. The structure resembles a fish eye and floats on the Hardangerfjord in Norway. It uses stainless steel panels to mimic fish scales. Another design by Zaha Hadid transforms a Metro in Ukraine into a modern artistic hub with a futuristic design. These two examples amplify the endless limitations of architectural design. The structures aim to catch the pedestrian's eye and insert a piece of unconventional architectural beauty in an otherwise bleak world.
