From Record-Breaking Marathon Attempts to Reengineered Sports Bras
In the world of professional sports, June holds both the NBA Finals and the Stanley Cup Finals, and the June 2017 sports trends are full of references to those upcoming clashes of titans. Specifically for basketball, Taco Bell has announced its 'Steal a Game, Steal a Taco' promotion. In any sport, playing on the road is a massive disadvantage; teams with home court advantage have won 75 percent of the time over the last 20 NBA Finals. As such, Taco Bell is rewarding NBA fans with free food for every road win in the NBA Finals.
In other June 2017 sports trends, the warmer weather has brought on outdoor competitions. Running is a dream in the spring, and so Nike used the good weather to stage the 'Breaking2' race, a marathon in which runners worked to finish a specially designed marathon in less than two hours.
Not all of the trends are related to pros, though. The PLOOTA is a safety device for amateur swimmers or people entering potentially dangerous conditions in the water. If the wearer is in trouble, the device inflates to keep them afloat.
