From Co-Profit Fashion to Development Programs

From work hub launches to remote health care technologies and "women in business" development programs, these collaborative social enterprises work with a variety of actors in order to come up with a service (or in some cases, product) that has checks and balances.
A big one here in this space is community workspaces, for instance, the Toronto-based Centre for Social Innovation (CSI) launched its New York City location (now, Center for Social Innovation -- American spelling and all). But CSI is part of a larger group of collective, collaborative social enterprises working to create communal space for businesses and non-profit organizations to grow and gain insight. For instance, in India, there is Bombay Connect, partnered with UnLtd India, which has emerged as a creative hub for like-minded individuals.
