Mozaiks Aims to Steer Fashion Away from Empty Branding
Andrew Robertson — June 21, 2012 — Social Good
The founders of Mozaiks noticed that too many people were turning themselves into "walking billboards," parading around and advertising the brands behind their clothing. Rather than turning customers into living ad campaigns, this social business makes it so that people are wearing art rather than brands.
Mozaiks has seven artists from across the world working on the clothing line, each with their own distinct vision and style. Not only does the attire reflect authenticity and engaged creativity but a percentage of the proceeds goes towards the Elevated Thought Foundation, a nonprofit organization that engages and educates at-risk youth through art.
Fashion does not have to be synonymous with big brands -- style and art can go hand in hand as demonstrated by the impressive collection of imaginative attire from Mozaiks.
