From Rooftop Yards to Wall-Less Abodes
Sarah Robson — July 11, 2012 — Eco
These curious cubed constructions are unique twists on typical building shapes. These box-shaped abodes are all the rage in contemporary architectural designs, and are located all over the world anywhere from Peru, Mexico and Germany.
Typically, boxy structures combine functionality with minimalism, and the creativity for these designs is endless. With box designs, architects can create an open concept, or they can have an overlapping box design that is fully private.
Many of these houses show layers of boxes on top of one another, and others stick to a simple and sweet cubed design. These buildings range from glass homes, hotels, office spaces, spas, university residences, pavillions and much more. These structures are increasing in popularity for contemporary architecture studios, and we will continue to see more of this design around the world.
