The 2019 science trends span across different industries and could have significant impacts on the ways people live their lives. Many of the 2019 science trends utilize AI technology in various ways. One example of this comes from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette, where researchers are developing a Seizure predicting AI system. Currently, the seizure predicting AI works with 99.6% accuracy and it is able to predict the onset of a seizure up to an hour in advance.
Another important technological development occurred in 2019 when OmniVision received a Guinness World Record for creating the smallest medical image sensor ever. The medical image sensor will be used to take high-quality medical images in a far more efficient way than previous image sensors.
Lastly, DataSwarQ created an AI system that is able to organize bar orders. The system uses AI and facial recognition technology to create a virtual queue, and it can also detect underage patrons.
