Stanford has a new high-tech hospital that users robots to perform different automated tasks. The hospital was designed to offer technological integration in every possible way. Patients are able to control their bedside entertainment, lighting, and temperature from a tablet next to their bed. Additionally, a mobile app is able to help patients find the medical attention they need.
The pharmacy in the high-tech hospital features robots that pack pills, while 23 other robots perform automated tasks related to laundry and disposing of garbage. The automated robots free up humans to perform other essential tasks.
