The Silent Arrow GD-2000 was recently showcased at the Defence & Security Equipment International show in London, the aircraft is a large glider drone. The Silent Arrow was created by the Yates Electrospace Corporation or YEC. YEC believes the new Silent Arrow could be used in order to replace the Joint Precision Airdrop System that is often used to deliver supplies.
The company also indicates that the Silent Arrow has a large carrying capacity, and can deliver up to 1,631 pounds of supplies. Additionally, due to its glider design, it is cheaper to operate and easier to steer. The increased carrying capacity and easier delivery methods make it an improvement on previous designs.
