The startup Stratio is using predictive AI to monitor when vehicle maintenance is needed. Transportation industries have to spend significant resources on vehicle maintenance, approximately $200 billion a year. With the artificial intelligence Stratio, this cost could be greatly reduced. This works with machine learning that uses data from millions of different vehicles. This data is then used by an AI algorithm to predict when vehicles will break down, so that maintenance can be provided before damage is done to the vehicle.
The system works by putting a sensor under the vehicle, called the 'STRATIO.DATABOX.' This sensor can connect to the vehicle and predict within a few days when the vehicle will break down. The technology is powered by an AI engine titled the 'Stratio CortexTM.' Strato's predictive AI is currently available, and the company has announced it will be sharing many of its findings on June 6th at TU Automotive Detriot.
