'Desperados Dos' is the name of a new launch from Heineken that introduces double tequila-flavored beer that is targeted at young adult drinkers. As Heineken's David Lette remarks: "Drinking habits among the Desperados target audience are evolving, with many now looking for more sophisticated options as they make the transition from early evening into the night."
The tequila-flavored beer boasts the flavors of both light and dark tequila, plus a lower carbonation and a higher ABV (7%) in comparison to other releases from the brand. Because of this, the products are being sold in smaller 250mL sizes.
Recently, many hybrid alcohol products have emerged in this category, including blends of tequila and vodka, as well as beer inspired by whiskey or classic cocktails.
