Mara Rodríguez designed vibrant snack bags for Popitas, a new snack brand in Costa Rica.
Drawing inspiration from the "pop" in Popitas, the style of the packaging was created in a pop art theme, introducing highly saturated colors and simplified graphics. Each bold flavor is represented by a different chromatic scheme, such as BBQ in red and Sea Salt in blue. The individual flavors also have their own distinctive hand-written lettering styles, each of which is paired with a taste adjective that is meant to entice consumers to try the products.
As well as boasting bright designs that will catch the eyes of children, the snack bags will also appeal to adults who are drawn in by the charm of nostalgia and enjoy reminiscing about the days of their own childhood.
