At Natural Products Expo West, Dream Pretzels introduced a few new protein-packed snacks, including Protein Pressels and Protein Pretzel Twists. Dream Pretzels first introduced its pressed pretzel chips a few years ago and it is now expanding upon these offerings with protein-rich, plant-based options in line with the kinds of snacks consumers are looking for today.
The protein pretzel products share five grams of protein from plant-powered sources like red lentils, white beans and green peas, which additionally offer a source of fiber. Aside from the protein and fiber that they provide, these pretzel snacks are lower in sodium than regular pretzels and have the potential to be consumed as a healthier alternative to potato chips.
Both of the light and extra crispy protein pretzel products are offered in Sea Salt flavors, with the Protein Pressels also available in a BBQ variety.
