Design studio Timorous Beasties and textile expert Bill Amberg collaborate on a kaleidoscopic collection of digitally printed leather that will be on display during the 2018 London Design Festival. The exhibition is entitled 'Electroanalogue' and the artistic merit behind the beautifully expressive collaboration is evident.
The splattered psychedelic design of the digitally printed leather hide references a previous work by Glasgow-based studio Timorous Beasties. Appropriately called 'Omni Drips,' the colorful arrangement was created in 2013 as a culmination of all the "splats, dribbles [and] marbling [from] using old inks and wallpaper cores." Instead of disposing of these, Timorous Beasties scanned, cleaned up and digitally printed the chaotic landscapes to give the discarded art remains a new meaning.
