Yazoo Kids, the brand known for its popular milk drinks, is switching to cardboard cartons to promote sustainable packaging choices. The brand recognizes that this switch is reducing its environmental impact, but it is also positively impacting the health and well-being of its consumer base. Since 2008, Yazoo has eliminated 480 tonnes of sugar annually, making all of its products HFSS-compliant today.
A special recipe from Yazoo Kids uses no extra sugar or artificial sweeteners. All brand flavors, including the recently authorized chocolate variation, have the ‘Good Choice’ label, making it more straightforward for parents looking to choose healthier options for their kids.
“Sustainability is a key focus for us at FrieslandCampina so we’re proud to introduce the new eco-friendly cardboard carton packaging this autumn – another step along the road in our ambition to make 100% of our packaging recyclable or reusable by 2025, whilst also providing healthy nutrition to a growing population,” said Maren Fuhrich, brand manager at FrieslandCampina.
