Architect Vincent Callebaut has created a wooden orchid-inspired design concept that will fight and prevent the harsh mitigation patterns that are evident in China. His beautiful plans to re-establish China's decreasing environmentally sustainable cities comes in the form of beautiful orchids. His project is titled 'Wooden Orchid' and will provide modern floral features to combat the urbanization.
Urban resources have been stretched thinly in China to accommodate the vastly growing population. Callabaut's design idea for a new complex will have photo-voltaic panels on the roofs. Wooden Orchid incorporates mass amounts of foliage with public libraries, sports centers, organic food courts and a farmers markets under one cohesive roof.
