Architecture studio ODA presents a look at the new Terrarium Cheong-Dam skyscraper located in South Korea, which was the recent winner of the Creative Innovation Architecture Design Pilot Project. The main focus of the structure will be a large sky garden that is filled with plants for a lush feel. It measures 200 meters in height with 45 stories in total. The building is in the Gangnam district and will be home to a range of residence and office spaces.
Founder of the studio Eran Chen explains that the designs are meant to align with the city and its efforts to expand "its public realm to create a more meaningful urban environment. For the tower's podium, we want to bring the community a space that serves as both a respite from the streetscape. We're also bringing this porous design to the building's greenery-filled terrarium, giving future tenants and residents another valuable space to engage with one another and enjoy nature."
