Emerging American whiskey brand Westward Whiskey has teamed up with Dobbes Family Estate winery in Dundee, Oregon, to launch a limited-edition single malt that has been finished in Pinot Noir dessert wine barrels. A unique combination, the new whiskey is the brand's first national, direct-to-consumer Club release.
Finished in premium Pinot Noir casks, the new single malt is said to conjure flavors of salted plum candy, black cherry, strawberry jam, red currants, and vanilla cream while delivering a palate of soft pepper, dark ripe fruit, caramel, herbaceous grains, berry jam, and baking spice. Additional finishes include caramelized sugar, raspberry, apple tart, and mint.
Westward's American Single Malt x Dobbes Family Estate Pinot Noir Rosé will be available exclusively to the brand's Club members and can be shipped to 30 states throughout the United States.
