Teamlab's newest installation, dubbed Weightless Forest of Resonating Life, offers an interactive experience, as the colored, egg-shaped orbs respond to human touch.
Set to be showcased at the Party Pier Culture and Art Zone in Guangzhou, China between April 27th and October 7th, this event welcomes all to experience the impact of human touch in a thoughtful and immersive way. The large, floating orbs create a sense of isolation, however when a guest touches the objects, it changes color. This creates a warming experience for the viewer, while also informing another guest that someone is nearby, creating an immediate sense of intimacy and connection, even without direct contact. The orbs' color range from light blue to deep red, with the color darkening in response to firmer interactions.
