One of the newest Artisan Bowls to be released by Sweet Earth Foods is its vegetarian-friendly Basil Pesto Lasagna, which boasts three grams of fiber, a high calcium content and 14 grams of protein per serving. In place of ground beef, the reinvented lasagna dish satisfies with an alternative filling of mushrooms and walnuts, layers of semolina pasta noodles and mozzarella, parmesan and romano cheeses. As Sweet Earth Foods describes, the dish offers a "culinary trip to 19th Century Genoa."
With a rise in plant-based eating, consumers have come to understand that excluding meat from their favorite dishes does not mean they have to go without protein—provided some substitutions are made with protein-rich vegetables, nuts and other nourishing ingredients.
Other protein-rich, vegetarian-friendly Artisan Bowls from Sweet Earth Foods include Mushroom Ravioli and its Pizza Mac & Cheese.
