The Uncle Grey Royal Copenhagen publicity stunt leveraged the outside space of a building to paint a giant porcelain plate. Royal Copenhagen is a well-known hand-crafting porcelain shop whose sales went up 300 percent during this stunt. Now that's great advertising.
In the morning, the giant billboard featured a blank piece of porcelain overlooking the street. As the day went on, workers slowly painted the billboard to demonstrate exactly how the porcelain designs are made in the shop. This, however, was done on a much larger scale and it certainly attracted the attention of pedestrians. It did take all day to complete, but by the end the Uncle Grey Royal Copenhagen stunt was a success with sales skyrocketing in under 24 hours.
