Theo Michael is an artist who likes to focus on odd mediums for his work. In his latest installation for the OMR Gallery, Michael uses various types of material to represent different civilizations, all imagined.
He sets up these characters from various backgrounds in positions that make one question their relationship with each other, and whether or not they even acknowledge the presence of others. Everything is quite symbolic, and is supposed to come across as quirky to some. Indeed, the materials used and characters made are even comical at times that it's hard not to laugh at the entire installation. However, Theo Michael still makes one think about our relationship with those around us and with other cultures throughout the world.
