Daniel Arsham Collaborates with Kohler for Milan Design Week

Celebrated contemporary designer Daniel Arsham partook in this year's Milan Design Week with a massive sculptural gateway at the city's historic Palazzo del Senato. The sizable contemporary installation, which creates an interesting juxtaposition against the baroque backdrop of the site, was a collaborative effort between the designer and Kohler, the kitchen and bathroom brand.
The sculptural gateway was called Divided Layers and individuals could walk through it. This added an immersive aspect to it. Made from "seven stacked white panels that [were] arranged to form a tunnel," Daniel Arsham and Kohler sought to offer a sculptural interpretation of a sink. In fact, the collaborators interpreted a specific sink, the Rock.01—"a vessel-like 3D-printed sink that Arsham created with Kohler last year."
