The Jerry Feightner Project is on a mission to fight opioid addictions through an NFT campaign. This month is dedicated to spreading awareness of mental illnesses, including addiction. The project uses the web3 platform to campaign against the illness that took Jerry Feightner's life.
Feightner was a visual artist with Cerebral palsy. The NFT campaign aims to honor the late artist by immortalizing his work on the blockchain. Broken into 39 pieces, each NFT honors one of Feightner's years on Earth.
Moreover, the initiative will be marked by three phases. During the first phase, 10% of all NFT sales will go to the Partnership to End Addiction. Once 50% of NFTs are sold, the Project will launch a billboard campaign in NYC's Times Square to raise awareness about addiction. The final phase will be marked once 100% of the artist's work is sold. The Project will bring the billboard campaign to a national level, targeting areas most affected by the opioid epidemic.
