Inspired by the contrast of good and evil, Tequila Cayéya unveiled just 1,200 bottles of two themed tequilas—El Diablo’s Elixir and The Spirit of an Angel—that sport drastically different looks and unique aging processes.
El Diablo’s Elixir uses a "666" aging method to transform single-barrel añejo cristalino over six months in American white oak, six months in French oak then another six months in American oak. The liquid with is charcoal-filtered for clarity, and then packaged in a red-tinted decanter.
The Spirit of an Angel uses a "999" aging method to lengthen the time the liquid is spent in each barrel to nine months. This tequila is not charcoal filtered, and packaged in a heavenly blue and white decanter.
