Microsoft has announced a new targeted message feature is coming to Windows 11. This feature will allow information technology (IT) administrators of workspace systems to notify employees directly via a desktop notification. Currently, workspaces use remote work solutions like 'Teams,' 'Slack,' or 'Google Meet' to get in contact with one another. With these applications, it is sometimes possible to miss a critical notification or message from a manager.
With the targeted message feature, notifications can be sent to employees that will appear right above the Windows Taskbar on the right-hand side, or center, of the screen. These notifications will also be accompanied by an audio cue, ensuring that the recipient realizes that they have been contacted. It is important to note that only workplace administrators will have access to this feature, which means coworkers or general managers will not be able to constantly deliver messages directly to everyone's computers.
