The Taggar App Uses Augmented Reality to Tag Items in Real Life
Laura McQuarrie — January 4, 2014 — Tech
The 'Taggar' app is one that uses augmented reality to “tag” real-work objects. Users can add captions, images, videos or stickers to objects, which creates a hidden virtual world around you from the items in your own home.
Taggar introduces a social and competitive aspect to tagging with its leaderboard that has people vying for the most popular tag. Any messages or content added to an object can be shared across social media. Taggar unlocks the potential to attach reviews right to CD and DVD covers, or discover hidden content from musicians, photographers and your friends.
Currently, the Taggar app is free to download for Apple devices in the app store and is coming soon to the Google Play store.
