Being able to visualize a new product in the home is about to get a lot easier thanks to a new augmented reality feature being rolled out by Walmart via its app. The feature will arrive in July, and will allow consumers to view furniture and home decor products in their living space by using their smartphone. This will make online purchases of decor and furniture much easier by allowing shoppers to see it in action before they purchase.
The new augmented reality feature was explained further in a blog post on the brand's website which read, "We believe the closest store to our customers is in their pocket, and we are focused on making that always-on experience as easy, engaging and personalized as possible."
