Alter Eco is adding two new varieties to its super-dark chocolate bar line, Blackout, which gives consumers a way to enjoy high cacao percentages and minimal ingredients. The clean, ethically made dark chocolate bars are now available in varieties like Total Blackout and Raspberry Blackout, both of which spotlight smooth, complex flavors with upwards of 85% cacao.
In the brand's Blackout line, there are products like Deep Dark Classic Blackout with 85% cocoa, Super Blackout with 90% cocoa and now, Total Blackout with 100% cocoa. The newest organic dark chocolate product is a purist's dream, as it is made with only organic cocoa beans plus organic cocoa butter. The smooth, super-dark chocolate bar is said to share the "malty intensity of Ecuadorian cacao with the robust fruitiness of its Dominican cousin."
