New York-based design practice Bunn Studio has successfully created a lush and stylish furniture showroom for Danish cabinet maker Garde Hvalsøe. The retail setting is located in a Renaissance building—dating back to 1898—in Aarhus, Denmark. It is an excellent tool for helping potential customers visualize how the brand's offerings may integrate themselves into the setting of their own homes. Taking design cues from the posh environment, Bunn Studio decided on embracing the grand apartment aesthetic and ended up creating a stylish furniture showroom that "looks more like an apartment than a store." In order to achieve this goal, Bunn Studio relied on "natural light as the starting point" to highlight the minimalist and contemporary sensibilities of Garde Hvalsøe's furniture designs.
