Earlier this year, Smartfood unveiled a spicy popcorn snack in the form of a hot sauce-inspired Hot Buffalo variety and it is now continuing to turn up the heat with its all-new Flamin' Hot White Cheddar Flavored Popcorn.
Although the new popcorn product boasts a white cheddar flavor, it sets itself apart from previously released white cheddar snacks from the brand and looks more like the popular fiery cheese puffs produced by Cheetos—which, like Smartfood, are also made by Frito-Lay, a subsidiary of PepsiCo. On top of being able to enjoy a spicy popcorn snack, consumers will find that the air-popped, ready-to-eat treat shares 15 grams of whole grains per serving.
Beyond looking for hot and spicy snacks, Millennials are looking for flavor experiences that are more interesting and complex than previously introduced products.
