The public toilet in Ichihara is not one's average restroom. As though adopting Japan's pension for serenity and reflection, it is placed in the middle of a lush garden. Yet unlike other Porta Potties that can be placed just about anywhere, this outdoor toilet is enclosed in a transparent glass case. Talk about stage fright.
As it stands, however, the public toilet in Ichihara is surrounded by a private garden that is enclosed by a wooden fence. Even with that in mind, it is a restroom for the brave. Designed by Sou Fujimoto, the public toilet in Ichihara is located next to Itabu Station, which runs along the north and south route in Ichihara City, Chiba.
