As a healthier take on the classic mug cake, Trader Joe's created single-serve Protein Muffins that are just as easy to make in the microwave. As well as being packed with protein and simple to prepare, the Protein Muffins are gluten-free, as varieties like the Dark Chocolate Protein Muffin are made with a cassava and coconut flour base. Trader Joe's is also introducing flavorful varieties like the Maple Protein Muffin with cassava flour and almond meal.
