On November 2nd, the state of California will be voting on Proposition 19 in hopes to legalize the use and distribution of marijuana. California is in a state of economic turmoil: from budget cuts, deficits and suspension of necessary public needs, the legalization of marijuana would generate billions of dollars and sustain California's economy.
There are many benefits to Proposition 19 -- by legalizing marijuana, not only would this strengthen the state, it will decline violent drug lords and retain the public's views should they decide to partake.
