Pérez Palacios Arquitectos Asociados Designs a New Forest Home
Amy Duong — August 9, 2023 — Art & Design
Local design studio Pérez Palacios Arquitectos Asociados unveils a new wooden A-frame home in the forest of Valle de Bravo in Mexico City. The home is designed with two volumes that rest on top of one another and has underground bedrooms. Starting with the ground level, it houses a living room, dining room, family room, and kitchen. Other features include the outdoor pool and lounge area that overlook the surrounding greenery to bring residents closer to the nature around them.
Founder of the studio Pablo Pérez Palacios speaks about the project to Dezeen, stating that "The main goal of this project was to give more importance to the surroundings present and to the open space given, embracing the idea of emptiness even with the possibility of having the architecture disappear. This design method gives you the possibility to really disconnect while enjoying your own solitude in the surrounding nature, gently forcing you to have that moment of relationship with the site, even if you're just going to bed."
