Mexican design studio Taller Héctor Barroso presents a look at Los Helechos, otherwise known as The Ferns which is a series of small holiday residential complexes. It is located in Valle de Bravo just a few hour's drive away from Mexico City.
Los Helechos is comprised of four identical homes resting adjacent to one another on a sloped site along with a golf and recreational space. The studio explains that "Los Helechos is a group of houses designed to allow nature to act in the intimacy of the home, creating a silent architecture to accompany the beauty of their gardens. The four houses stealthily adapt to the steep slope of the terrain, respecting the existing topography and vegetation to minimize their impact on the site."
