The prefabricated huts designed by the architecture firm 'Wee Studio' came to fruition after a successful crowdfunding campaign supported the project.
Called 'The Treehouse,' the project's structures were placed in the woodland in the Miyun District in Beijing. The huts were prefabricated in a factory, then transported to the area and set up there. The structures have insulation, built-in heating, a skylight, a tearoom, a bedroom, a bathroom and a wooden deck that overlooks the nature outside. All of these features allow people to live or stay in these huts regardless of the cold weather that hits the area during the winter months.
These prefabricated huts reflect the potential that architects and designers have when it comes to creating eco-friendly, fully functional micro-homes.
