Polaris Hosted an Immersive Ride-Along Event at Budds Creek
To celebrate the highly anticipated launch of Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 and the inclusion of the Polaris RZR Pro R in the game, influencers and media guests were invited to an exclusive event that seamlessly connected the excitement of virtual gameplay with the real-world thrill of off-road racing. The event, held at Budds Creek Motocross Park in Southern Maryland, coincides with Call of Duty: NEXT, offering participants an immersive experience to enjoy the adrenaline of driving a Polaris RZR Pro R through rugged terrain, including dirt tracks and wooded areas.
Guests were enrolled in the "Operator Academy," a dynamic program designed to engage them in exciting, hands-on activities. These ranged from knife and axe-throwing to high-speed rides in Polaris vehicles, with professional drivers at the helm, providing a thrilling, action-packed day that mirrored the intensity of Call of Duty gameplay.
Polaris has been working in close collaboration with Call of Duty developers to ensure that the real-life experience of driving the RZR Pro R is authentically reflected in the game. The Polaris RZR Pro R is set to officially debut in Call of Duty: Warzone during Season 1 in late 2024, where players will experience the vehicle's realistic handling, mechanics, and animations.
“At Polaris, we are passionate about creating possibilities for work and play in the outdoors. Our partnership with Call of Duty brings that real-life passion to the virtual world to help enhance the player’s experience and ability,” said Holly Spaeth, Vice President of Corporate Branding and Partnerships for Polaris. “Through our partnership with Call of Duty, we are introducing more people to Polaris by highlighting the off-road riding experience to new audiences and showcasing the real-world capabilities of our RZR Pro R vehicle in a virtual world.”
"Call of Duty is excited to continue our partnership with Polaris, bringing together the worlds of dynamic moment to moment gameplay with real world adventure vehicles", said Will Gahagan, Senior Director of Partnerships, Call of Duty, "We can’t wait for players to experience the thrill of driving the Polaris RZR Pro R across the Warzone battleground later this year in epic battles to be the last squad standing.”
