Boutique rye whiskey maker WhistlePig has announced the launch of the 'PiggyBack 100% Rye,' all-new expression that has been aged for six years. The new whiskey was created by the late master distiller Dave Pickerell, who formulated the spirit to highlight the superior mixability of Whislepig's signature rye.
“PiggyBack 100% Rye is a gift from our late legendary distiller to his friends across the country and around the world, and of course, the bartenders who helped forge the WhistlePig brand from the very beginning," said Jeff Kozak, chief executive of WhistlePig.
For those interested, 'PiggyBack 100% Rye is set to be released in the United Kingdom starting today -- a date that was chosen by the company to coincide with the final round of WhislePig'ss first international cocktail competition.
