Wag Swag is a pet leash packaging project by Lauren Ryan, a graphic design student at The University of Kansas. Instead of a packaging design that's wasteful, Ryan's design wraps the dog leash around a cylindrical container like a spool of thread. Along with getting a brand new leash, there are more surprises on the inside of the Wag Swag container, including a complimentary milk bone treat and a "swagdana" for dogs. As well as being a fantastic way to display the pet leash, the container could also be a great place to store additional dog treats once you get it home.
Ryan remarks that the aim of her project was to "create a package for an inexpensive item that would enhance the customer experience." You wouldn't know it from the final product packaging, but the pet leash was actually a dollar store find.
