Moustache's Retail Experience Creates Contrast of Space and Product
Kalin Ned — November 27, 2019 — Art & Design
French brand Moustache has a striking aesthetic for its recently opened Parisian store. The space exudes minimalist modernism. It is designed by En Bande Organisée and Julien Dufresne Architecte who embraced the idea of a cave-like ambiance.
The aestheticized retail experience fits Moustache's ethos quite well. This is the business' first permanent brick-and-mortar location, showcasing the physicality of the beautiful design objects that the brand makes available to consumers. The brief called for the Parisian store to be immersive but to accent the product range, rather than take attention away from it. En Bande Organisée and Julien Dufresne Architecte did a great job at that. While the cave-like layout of the Parisian store boasts playfully sculptural and subtle nooks, the white walls allows for Moustache's products to effortlessly shine.
