These new Walkers crisps are being launched in the UK as part of PepsiCo's sponsorship of the UEFA Champions League to offer costumers with a themed way to satisfy their craving for a crunchy snack.
The football-themed snacks come in four flavor options including Hot Shot Hot Dog, Steak & Ale Pie-nalty, Chicken Tackle Masala and Sour Cream & Sweet Chilli Kicker. The limited-edition chips are being launched alongside an on-pack promotion for the Doritos and Walkers MAX products that will offer shoppers the chance to win cash prizes.
Senior Brand Manager at PepsiCo Josephine Taylor spoke on the new new Walkers crisps saying, "With footy fans nationwide deprived of their summer of sport last year, and two British teams in the semi-finals of this year’s UEFA Champions League, everything is still to play for ahead of the final in Istanbul on 29 May, the perfect time to launch our biggest ever sponsorship campaign. As restrictions ease, consumers will be looking to elevate moments of connection, banter, and laughter with friends and family. We know people won’t be able to experience the footy the same way this year, so we’re bringing flavour experiences that only Walkers can do, by taking some of the nation’s favourite match foods and combining them with our Walkers punny banter – delivering a range of irresistibly tasty crisps that will raise a smile!"
