Crispin Porter + Bogusky's Music Speaker Takes Requests from Twitter
Laura McQuarrie — January 29, 2015 — Tech
With the help of a high-tech music speaker that's connected to Twitter, employees of the Crispin Porter + Bogusky agency in Stockholm are putting out a call for people to tell them what songs to listen to. The stunt asks Twitter users to tweet to @cpbscandinavia, along with a song choice and the #subservientspeaker tag so that the agency can experience new music from around the world.
The Subservient Speaker is a self-promoting campaign that's also a riff on the Subservient Chicken, an ad that was created by CP+B for Burger King way back in 2004. Some of the song requests that have been put in so far to the Subservient Speaker include tracks by the Beastie Boys, Black Rebel Motorcycle Club and Holy Ghost. The agency is up for all suggestions, but comically asks for "No Coldplay please."
