'Takashi Murakami,' the Japanese contemporary artist famous for his unique depictions of flowers, has announced the 'Murakami.Flowers' NFT collection. This collection will be comprised of 11,664 flower-image NFTs. Each of these NFTs feature a pixelated flower with 12 petals. The flowers have human-like expressions, such as happy or sad faces, and each NFT will feature a stylized background.
The 11,664 NFTs will be available on March 31st, 2022 on the 'OpenSea' Blockchain-based marketplace. The NFT collection will be released in several different categories with different pricing. The 'Whitelist' category includes 4,000 NFTs. 3,000 of these will be sold to holders of Murakami's previous 'RTFKT' NFT collection, while 500 will be sold to Murakami whitelist members, and the remaining 500 will be sold to friends and family of the artist.
The second category is the 'Public Sale' section. This section will include 6,751 flower NFTs auctioned through a lottery system. The third category is the 'Lucky 727 Proof,' which will be a special collection of 727 NFTs chosen because 727 is Murakami's lucky number. The final category is the 'Zen Number Proof,' which will include 78 signature flower NFTs and 108 Murakami.Flowers NFTs with no confirmed release date.
