Urban areas are becoming increasingly populated and as such, the world has seen the rise in tiny homes, micro-apartments and now -- multifunctional attic apartments.
Designed by Batiik Studio in Paris, this cozy apartment space was reinvented to look modern and use to space and storage efficiently. The multifunctional attic apartment is only 161 square feet but features a bathroom, a bedroom, a kitchen, a work area, a dining area and ample storage space. Some of these features were added by the design studio taking advantage of the high ceilings and using those to create storage. Other features make the apartment customizable -- the bed can function as a sofa, or it can completely retract to fit space for chairs underneath the breakfast bar.
This multifunctional attic apartment is a unique architectural space and sets an excellent example of how to take advantage of small homes for the sake of cost efficiency.
