A modern kindergarten needs to satisfy a number of needs — from an up-to-date curriculum that ensures the children are developing their cognitive faculties to an interior that offers a safe space and facilitates for further growth. VMDPE Design is tasked with such a project in Shenzhen, China.
Located in a residential area of the city, the IBOBI International Kindergarten is skillfully scaled to accommodate the needs of the little ones. This allows children to navigate the space with ease while surveying and interacting with different aspects of design.
The firm's choice of material for the modern kindergarten creates a sense of coziness and warmth. The interior is highly geometrical which challenges the children's visual experience, while the rooms are arranged with a narrative-inspired twist.
